ASGAROS Shortcut [DISPLAY_ULTIMATE_SOCIAL_ICONS] does not work

If I add the shortcut [DISPLAY_ULTIMATE_SOCIAL_ICONS] on the forum page (not in the post), it just doesn’t work on the forum page in the posts.

I added the shortcut directly without making an entry in functions.php, just added the shortcut to the post and it worked!

Unfortunately, I can’t expect the user to enter the shortcut. Is there a way to automate this?

Thanks Klaus, we tried it up and down, but couldn’t replicate your issue. We suspect it’s something on your theme. We could investigate such issues too, however it goes beyond what we can do in this forum. We could do it as part of this plugin: https://ultimatelysocial.com.

Howdy plugin supporter.

Because it’s supposed to be on the topic, I installed everything on another website: https://abmahnungen-schweiz.ch/ and use the topic: Twenty Twenty-One. This should be a WordPress standard.

I also used the plugin: “Health Check & Troubleshooting” from WordPress and deactivated all plugins except for the “ASGAROS Forum” and activated “Social Media and Share Icons (Ultimate Social Media)” and it didn’t work. On the other hand, I made the following entry in the functions.php topic:

function asgaros_share_buttons() {
do_shortcode(‘[DISPLAY_ULTIMATE_SOCIAL_ICONS]’);
}
add_action(‘asgarosforum_topic_custom_content_bottom’, ‘asgaros_share_buttons’);

and also tested the PHP version. I think you have a “BUG”! Is there a workaround? I can’t require every user to insert the shortcut into the post themselves!

Since https://ultimatelysocial.com/ is not free, if I don’t have an answer within a week, even though I really like the plugin, I will look for another social media plugin.

I have a website with TasteWP at https://blushbottle.s2-tastewp.com/ with only the most necessary plugins for the ASGAROS forum and the social media buttons. You can watch.

It doesn’t work!

But for security reasons I am allowed to customize the functions.php.

Thanks Klaus. Just to confirm: so the issue is always linked to the ASGAROS forum (i.e. not Astra or Twenty Twenty)? If so, then it would be too specific to provide free support (actually we already spent quite some time on it). The issue is then most likely in ASGAROS and should be checked from those guys. However, if the issue is with Astra or Twenty Twenty, then please confirm, we’ll continue to check.

Problem solved. It was a caching problem. Thanks for everyone’s support. ??????
