Aside won’t show up on archives pages

I’ve got an aside code in my sidebar that came from the Adding Asides page. (It’s the bottom one “Displaying Asides on the Sidebar” that isn’t Matt’s.)
I’ve got so that it’s working on the index page with it not showing up on the main loop, but I can’t get it to work in the sidebar of the category pages.

Any help would be greatly appreciated
