    Hello,

We have an amazon listing that keeps assigning the ASIN of another product. The two listings then keep overwriting each other.

Any idea on how to stop this from happening? We’ve removed the problematic listing in wp-lister & also amazon but it still occur when re-listing.

    Many Thanks!

    Hello @devksec.

    Thanks for using WP-Lister.

There are two possibilities that I am aware of that could cause this problem:

1.) You are not waiting long enough for the listing details to be removed from Amazon’s system before relisting. Usually you need to wait at least 24 hours before listing the item back to Amazon with the same SKU in order for the previous listing details to clear out of Amazon.

2.) The previous ASIN that matches to the previous listing details may not be removed from WP-Lister causing the relist to connect to the previous ASIN again. You can change the ASIN in WP-Lister when WP-Lister changes the ASIN or merges your ASIN with another ASIN and keeps the other sellers ASIN, etc. To do this visit the “developer” settings tab and enable the “Allow direct editing” setting which will add a “edit” link below each product on the listings page of WP-Lister. You then need to locate the listing on the listings page, click the “edit” link, change the “ASIN” there, then click the “Yes I Know what I am doing” box and update. But be very careful to only change the ASIN and save it. Then disable the “allow direct editing” setting when you are done. You may also need to change the ASIN on the edit product page as well.

    Kind regards,
    John

    Hello,

We have tried with waiting 24 hours and no luck.

We also cannot see that option within the developer menu ?

    Kind Regards

    Hi @devksec

Sorry, I left one step out, when you are on the developer settings page of WP-Lister, click the “Screen settings” button in the top right hand corner of the page, and tick the “developer options” box, then look for the “Allow direct editing” setting.

    Kind regards,
    John
