Asks for password twice

    This happens when it’s redirected.

    So if you goto https://x.com/wp-login.php and it redirects you to https://www.x.com/wp-login.php it will prompt you twice, ditto for https redirects so if you goto https://x.com/wp-login.php and it redirects you to https://x.com/wp-login.php it will ask you twice.

    I avoid this by using SSL like this: https://www.askapache.com/htaccess/htaccess.html#Fix_double-login_prompt And by making my bookmarks point to the final url and not a url that will be redirected.
