Asset Optimization doesn’t work

In the Asset Optimization page, select files to compress and press the publish changes, but the link doesn’t lead me anywhere, it seems the link is broken.
So I can’t compress any additional files.
Why is this happening? Would someone can instruct me how to fix this?Many thanks!

Publish changes should reload the page and show notification like that:
If none of this is happening I am suspecting a plugin conflict.
Please follow the steps from the flowchart to perform conflict test to confirm it:
