    Hi,

    Thanks for a great plugin. We’ve run into a problem with assigning accounting transactions.

    When entering an accounting transaction, you can type a company name; however, the plugin only returns a list of people/contacts from the entered company.

    This plugin operation forces the transaction to be assigned to a person.

    Is it possible to assign a transaction to a company instead of a person who is associated with the company?

    Thanks!

    @heretiq,

    In the “Accounting” module, you can only make a transaction between the customers.
    So if you add a company as a customer, then you can make a transaction with that company.

    Note: An existing company can be easily added as a customer by just entering the email address of that company in “Accounting -> Customers -> Add new -> email address”

    Thank you ??

    @wedevs,

    Thanks for the reply. I have two clarifying questions:

    1. The company is already entered in CRM. Do I also need to duplicate that by manually adding that existing company to the Accounting customer list?

    2. There is no “Accounting -> Customers -> Add new -> email address” path. Instead there is “Accounting -> Customers -> Add new” which takes me to the Add Customer form. That form contains an email field but it also contains mandatory First Name and Last Name fields which forces me to create a new contact instead of using the company record already created in CRM. Am I missing something or is this the intended behavior?

    Thank you.

    @heretiq,

    1. Yes, you have to add the existing companies to the Accounting Customer list.

    2. In the “Accounting -> Customers -> Add new” path you will get a form.
    In that form just insert the email address of the existing company,
    then go the next field. And you will get a notification in the top that will tell you that it’s existed already. You can now import that company into the customer list. This will automatically import all details about that company.

    Thanks ??

    OK. Thank you. Your suggestion worked.

    Recommendation: It might be good to review the UX on this use case. The identified solution works; but it is unintuitive. Also, the form has mandatory first name and last name fields which are not applicable when adding companies.
