• Hello,
I’m using Woocommerce and want to give access to my client as “shop Manager”. I also want my client to be able to use (add images, manage) Nggallery. So, I tried to do this with the Gallery/Roles tab.

The issue is that when I choose the “Shop Manager” role in front of a capability, after having saved it, the role comes back to administrator and nothing is saved (meaning, there is still no possibility for my client to access Nggallery functionalities).

Is there a way to do this?
    Many thanks

  • Anyone? Would like to extend access for Shop Manager role too.

I can’t even find the basic differences betweeen the Shop Manager role and Admin, let alone extend it. All I know is I want my Shop Manager (my client) to receive notifications about activities in his shop rather than me the Admin! If extending access can do this, I’m all for it.

I’m using the recommended plugin “Member” to help hang Shop Manager roles, but still can’t quite get it how I want. I want shop managers to simply be able to look at orders, and update the status of orders as they are fulfilled. Nothing more. Any suggestions?

I’m not sure why your shop manager role isn’t allowing for tasks like updating orders. On the site I’m finishing the role gives a user blanket WooCommerce access along with Posts, Media, Pages, and Comments.

Poco06 – try using the AG Custom Admin plugin to create custom menu links in the dashboard for non-admin users – https://www.ads-software.com/plugins/ag-custom-admin/

My question is how I can allow I shop manager to edit users which I think they’ll need to be able to do? Looks like this is restricted to all non-administrators?

    Paul.
