Assign different template to category page

  • On a category page I need to be able to assign a different template (which I have used in the past).

    I can change the template on a post or page using links in the right column under the post tab but on a category page, they are not available.

    It seems to have changed since v6.2

  • Hi @limeyard Let say you have a test category then the template file name would be category-test.php. This file would be in the theme folder.

    Thanks for taking the trouble to reply to my query but I can’t see any category-*.php files in the theme folder, and even if I could, I’m not sure how I would assign a particular one to my chosen page.

    However, everything looks as expected tonight so it’s all ok. Thanks again.
