Assign secondary role automatically

Hi, this is a great plugin! I need to permanently assign a secondary role to Vendor role type, so any existing “Contributor” user types don’t lose their “Contributor” role if they become “Vendor” user type. Is there any way to achieve this without having to manually change this each time? Thank you.
