    Hi,

is it possible to disable the Assigned Author option? I want the posts to be anonymous but they are linked to the assigned author in the plugin settings. How do I change that?

    Thank you

You can create a fake user named Whatever and then set the option to that. Then also omit the Author/Name field and the user name will not be recorded.

Yes, I have done that but I would like to eliminate the author completely. For example here https://www.thealterstate.com/gratitude-3/
I would only leave ‘Posted on December 13, 2016’ and eliminate ‘by mytpen6’.
    Is not possible?
Because this way every post appears under the same author, although they aren’t.

That would be up to your theme template, which determines when/where post infos such as Author are displayed. If you don’t want to display a post author you can modify your theme template via Child theme. Ask your theme developer for more infos.

    I see, thank you!

    Hi,

Our users are logged-in before they can use USP.
So we know the user name and want to link that name to the submitted post.
Please advise how to do this. Thanks

There is a plugin setting called “Registered Username” that can “Use registered username as post author. Valid when the person submitting the form is logged in to WordPress.” That should do the trick.
