    Hello

I was wondering if it’s possible to automatically give the PDF thumbnails that are generated when a PDF is uploaded a title? For example, by simply using the PDF’s title as a base and adding ‘-thumbnail’ or something like that.

The plugin is working great for me, thank you, it’s just that having a bunch of images with ‘(no title)’ in my Library will become very confusing and unmanageable when I have hundreds of them.

    Many thanks

    Hi,

That’s not a bad idea, I released a new update (version 0.0.4) that will name thumbnails as you described, PDF_NAME-thumbnail. This will name all new uploads. If you would like to automatically name existing files, you can use get_post_thumbnail_id($pdf_attachment_id) to find the thumbnail.

I’m glad you like the plugin and would like to encourage you to click “Works” on the compability for WordPress 4.0, and to add a rating/review if you have the time.

    Thanks.

Thanks for that Stian. I have version 0.0.3, but I’m not being prompted to download a new version for some reason. Also it is still version 0.0.3 in the WordPress plugins…

Thanks again, I’ll click works and add a comment when I’ve updated to 0.0.4, seeing as that’s the newest version.

I forgot to update the version number in main plugin file, sorry. Should be up now.

Perfect! I’ve updated and the naming seems to be working fine, thank you so much for that. I’ll post a comment soon.
