Assigning new Parent page to category archive

Hi there,

I am using “Breadcrumb NavXT” to display a breadcrumb trail on all pages. Generally, this works fine.
Clicking on a category name, all posts belonging to this category are displayed and the breadcrumb trail looks like this:
Home > Blog > [Category]

Regardless of the fact that some posts are not displayed on the Blog page, the breadcumb trail looks the same. This is especially true for events, which are displayed on the events-page.
While a post could have more than one category, I understand that the breadcrumb must “decide” which one to take.

Therefore, I would like to assign a new parent page to the category archive page. The breadcrumb should hence look like this:
Home > Archive > [Category]
This would be less confusing.
