Hello,

I hope this message finds you well. I am writing to seek assistance regarding an issue with the sitemap XML on our website. Despite our efforts, the sitemap XML does not seem to be updating as expected.

We have taken several steps to troubleshoot and resolve the issue but have been unsuccessful thus far. Here is a summary of what we have tried:

Checked Yoast SEO Settings: We verified that the “XML sitemaps” feature is enabled in the Yoast SEO plugin settings. We made sure that the necessary post types, taxonomies, and other relevant content are included in the sitemap.

Regenerated Sitemap: We attempted to regenerate the sitemap using the “Regenerate Sitemap” feature within the Yoast SEO plugin. However, this did not trigger the expected update of the sitemap XML.

Deactivated and Reactivated Yoast SEO: In an attempt to refresh the plugin settings, we deactivated the Yoast SEO plugin and then reactivated it. Unfortunately, this did not resolve the issue.

Cleared Cache: We cleared any caching mechanisms, such as WP Rocket cache or server-level caching, to ensure that the sitemap XML is not being served from a cached version. However, the sitemap XML still does not reflect the latest changes.

Despite our best efforts, the sitemap XML remains outdated, and we are concerned about its impact on search engine indexing and crawling of our website.

We kindly request your assistance in resolving this issue and updating the sitemap XML correctly. Any insights, recommendations, or guidance you can provide would be greatly appreciated. We are open to further troubleshooting steps or changes to the configuration if necessary.

Here is the sitemap URL https://www.npsdriven.com/engines-sitemap.xml

in this url there are some page which is deleted and still showing in sitemap
check some below urls and there are more

I can confirm the three URLs aren’t in the /engines-sitemap.xml/. This is because there are 301 redirects on them; they are redirecting to other pages. The Yoast SEO-generated XML sitemap will not include URLs that have been redirected.

Please share some deleted URLs that still show in the sitemap.

Thank you for your previous response. However, I want to clarify that the URLs in question are still present in the sitemap despite being redirected.

I kindly request you to review this issue once again and investigate why the redirected URLs are still appearing in the sitemap. It is important to ensure that the sitemap accurately reflects the current structure and redirects of the website.

2. https://www.npsdriven.com/fr/engines/nanni-n4-38-kubota-base/ redirects to https://www.npsdriven.com/fr/marque/
3. https://www.npsdriven.com/nl/engines/clarke-1/ redirects to https://www.npsdriven.com/nl/mark/, though https://www.npsdriven.com/nl/mark/ throws a 404 error; probably it has been deleted.
Can you let me know how you created those 301 redirects?

I have done redirect through htaccess file. for example

RewriteRule ^de/engines/clarke-1/$ https://www.npsdriven.com/de/mark/ [R=301,L]

I understand you created the redirects in the .htacess file. However, when redirects aren’t created with the Yoast SEO Premium, the Yoast SEO-generated XML sitemap cannot exclude the old URLs. If you still need to exclude those URLs from the sitemap, you’ve three options:
- Redirect URLs from?Redirect Manager?of Yoast SEO Premium
- Manually edit the pages from Yoast SEO meta box> Advanced section and set?no?for the “Allow search engines to show this Page in search results?“. This will set the pages to noindex and will be removed from the Yoast SEO sitemap.
- Delete/trash the relevant pages from the WordPress admin
