Hi, I’m a new gpt assistant user. I was happy to get my assistant to float on my page with Kognetiks.

However, once the answer is provided, it doesn’t open a ‘next response’ option and if the answer is longer, it doesn’t allow you to scroll. As you can see in the screen shot, the answer is long, but the scroll doesn’t go further. I have my tokens set at 2000. But no matter how high I have taken them, this still happens.

I’m sure its in my settings, but I can’t figure it out.

    Hello sundevl00 (@sundevl00),

Here is what I learned by visiting your site.

At first I couldn’t figure out what was going on.

When I inspected the page, I learned that everything was hidden slighly below the bottom of my browser.

So, I presseed CTRL MINUS to zoom out to discover that the input field was hiding out of view.

I was able to capture the image below at about 67% Zoom.

So, this explains why it looks like everything is working, but, it isn’t.

When I reset the zoom to 100% after interacting with the chatbot, the scroll bar is visible but the bottom of the chatbot is cut off.

I can’t quite figure out how to move it using browser editing.

What I did notice is that it appears that the chatbot shortcode is wrapped in a <code> block.

I’m not sure that is the problem just yet.

    Here are my initial recommendations:

    1. Remove the chatbot from the widget in the footer (for now).
    2. Edit your main home page, and add a new block at the bottom of the page (not in the footer).
    3. Be sure to use a shortcode (not code) block (they’re different).
    4. Add the chatbot in the newly created block on your home page.
    5. In the screen capture below I’ve illustrated adding a basic chatbot.
    6. If you’re using an assistant you might want to use
      [chatbot style=floating assistant=asst_your_assistant_id_goes_here]
or if you’ve added it to the Manage Assistants tab you might want to use
[chatbot-n] where n is the number assigned in the row, such as [chatbot-1]

Then save the page or preview the page in before finializing to see if that resolves the issues.

Let me know what you discover.

Thanks so much for your reply. Because I’m building in a Divi theme, I couldn’t add a WP block. However, I figured out it was the “shortcode” option that I was not using. Once I used that, even in the footer widget, it works fine now.

    Thanks again!
