It could be very useful to have a way to associate a donor to an already registered user. Right now, if a person makes a donation before connecting into the site with user/password, the plugin creates a new user with provided data. Many times there is no problem with that, but however it could be useful to have a page, into the admin dashboard, to allow merging a donor with a existing user manually. In case of mistake, if the user doesn’t made it right, it can be fixed by an admin just with a simple verification and choosing the existing user to merge it.

    regards,

    Hi @fidoboy,

You can edit the Donor profile to associate the donor with an existing WordPress user on the site.
This quick video shows you how to do that: https://somup.com/c3it3Tuydj

Currently, that’s not possible to automatically associate a donor to a user profile unless you require registration on the GiveWP form, but we do have a feature request about it on our site here: https://feedback.givewp.com/bug-reports/p/donors-with-account-can-only-donate-again-while-logging-in

Our feedback site is designed to be the single source for all updates on particular issues. If any movement has happened, it will be displayed there for both the public and our team internally.

If specific feedback only has a handful of votes, that influences the priority we place on it. The more votes, the faster things get worked on!
