• Hi,
I found out about your plugin by accident. It looks very exciting.
But I have 2 more small questions.
Is it possible to create a * after each link?
I don’t know if this is necessary everywhere. In Germany, you put * after the advertising link and write at the bottom of the page
    * = All links marked with an asterisk (*) are advertising links.

Some do this with * (asterisk) but display an icon. That can also be different.

Is this also possible with your plugin? That would be great.

And I read “Auto Affiliate Links plugin is displaying links only when the content is displayed.”
How is the performance of the site? Doesn’t it slow down if the text is processed again beforehand? Or couldn’t you find anything?
And what if the word has already been linked? Does your plugin recognize this?

    Greetings

    Hello.

Thank you for using Auto Affiliate Links.

There is an option in Auto Affiliate Links->General Settings, called Affiliate Link Disclosure, that will let you add a character or a string after each link added by the plugin. It should word with almost anything because it accepts HTML code too.

Regarding the impact on page loading speed, the link addition on runtime require some processing, but in most cases this is neglectable. We have thoroughly tested the impact on performance and we ran different ways of doing this with a minimal impact in loading speed. I think significant impact in loading speed might appear for very long articles ( 10.000+ words ), or if you have too many keywords ( around 1000 ). If you think that impact in loading speed is considerable please send us details about this so we can test your specific setup ( post length, type, links, etc), and we will try to update the plugin to minimize the impact.

The plugin is not adding links over the existing ones. However, on particular situations, like bad-formatted links and non-standard links, there were cases when the existing links were overwritten or broken by the replacement engine. We have worked to fix any particular situation that appeared and with the help of users who reported the problems we were able to fix the problems that appeared in many situations. If you have problems with overlapping links, let us know and we will try to fix it.
