Asterisks showing instead of “Enter Password”

We have checked your website and it appears that the password box is appearing with out the asterisks.

However, can you please try in the browser incognito mode to check whether a similar issue is appearing or not?

In a private window (I assume that’s what you mean) the page appears correctly.

In this case, that issue might be occurring due to any installed extension on your browser.

Please disable one by one extension to check which one is causing such issue.

It seems to be confined to Firefox. A simple test https://www.w3schools.com/jsref/tryit.asp?filename=tryjsref_password_placeholder works fine so something in the Carnethy page coding or scripting is interacting with Firefox to overlay asterisks after the placeholder text appears.
There’s only one extension active and it’s not that. Using WP’s troubleshooter shows no problem with other plugins.

It’s beyond me to figure it out and really not worth it!
