• Astra Pro custom left sidebar is not responding when clicked.
Astra Pro has been updated to the latest version, PHP 7.4, CentOS 8.0.1905, WordPress 5.7.2.
I have tested it by disabling all irrelevant plugins and keeping only the necessary plugins related to Astra, still the theme custom left sidebar is not responding when clicked.

  • Hi @leeren1010,

The sidebar on Astra is not an Astra Pro feature, it’s available even on the Astra free theme.

Anyway, by custom left sidebar, did you mean you created a custom sidebar using our Lightweight Sidebar Manager plugin? If you did, please open a new topic on the respective plugin forum.

    Kind regards,
    Herman ??

Please forgive my poor English, maybe I didn’t express myself clearly, I’ll try to make it clearer.
What I mean is: I tried to change some settings of the Astra Pro theme, so I logged into the backend of the site, clicked on “Appearance – Customize”, and then I saw the sidebar with the theme related settings.
But now the options on the sidebar are not responding when I click on them.
I have tried to find out why, such as disabling plugins that are not related to Astra Pro, keeping only the least relevant plugins, clearing and closing the cache plugins, trying to operate on other browsers, and trying to restart the server, etc. When I switch the theme to another theme, the sidebar of this setup theme is normal. In other words, this problem is probably just an Astra Pro issue.

    WordPress version is 5.7.2.
    PHP 7.4.19
    Nginx 1.18.0,
    MySQL 5.7.34
Astra Pro is running as a child theme and has been updated to the latest version(v 3.4.2).

    Hi @leeren1010,

Thank you for sharing more details.

So, it’s related to the Astra Sidebar, not the Sidebar Manager plugin I mentioned in my previous response, right?

Anyway, is it possible for you to share screenshots or even a video showing the issue you were facing? It’s hard to provide help without seeing directly how the issue looks like.

In the meantime, please head over to this doc which might help for you.

    Kind regards,
    Herman ??

I found the reason why AstraPro backend settings sidebar is not responding.
AstraPro and Gutenberg conflict, if you disable the Gutenberg plugin and modify the Astra Pro theme settings the left sidebar is responsive when you click on it.
I have verified this point many times about this.

WordPress version: 5.7.2 Simplified Chinese version
    PHP version: 7.4.19
    Astra Pro version: 3.4.2
    Gutenberg version: 10.6.1

My English is so poor that I don’t know if I have expressed my meaning clearly.
Anyway, if the Gutenberg plugin and AstraPro are enabled at the same time, the left sidebar of AstraPro’s backend settings will not respond. Disable the Gutenberg plugin and AstraPro will be back to normal.

    Hi @leeren1010,

So, you meant that when the Gutenberg plugin is installed and activated then the Customizer stops working, right?

Thanks for sharing this. We already noticed that.

Anyway, it is not recommended to use the latest versions of the Gutenberg plugin as they are still in the testing phase, and could break a few things or behave differently with the theme or third-party plugins.

The final and stable updates from the Gutenberg plugin are released in the latest updates of WordPress.

We try and maintain full compatibility with the latest WordPress versions.

    Kind regards,
    Herman ??
