Astra removed mobile break adjustment for menus/pages a year ago; out of the box most menus look horrible between full desktop and the mobile break (wrapping around into other content). You can fix with code (if you have a pro account support will tell you how, but it’s a pain). A decent, working menu with proper breaks on a template is kind of basic. WordPress’s review system asks for no links and only to discuss your issue, so I’ll leave it at a quick google search reveals this is a known issue. Support also mentioned in their email response they will add break adjustments back in a future version, but when I pointed out that it’s been a year since they removed and asked how soon it would be put back in, I got no response. I regret purchasing the pro version, and would tell people if they have this issue in the free version buying pro will not resolve the issue.

  • Hello @friedpicklemedia

I am Elvina working with team Brainstorm Force, the makers of the Astra theme.

I completely understand how you’d be feeling now. I’d like to share our thoughts like I just did on a support thread you replied to.

Currently, the Astra theme loads separate Headers for Desktop and Mobile. So, in the case of someone who is a beginner and does not know how to change breakpoints, it might get tough and confusing as it will modify the Header in Customizer preview.

Modifying the Customizer preview will affect the breakpoints which are natively managed by WordPress.

Further, we provided the filter as developers/website creators will be able to add the filter and change the breakpoints as they have a better understanding of how the breakpoints work.

At this moment, we offer a filter and not an option as we are following the 80/20 rule which is followed by WordPress as well. We track if a feature is requested by 80 percent or more users then we consider and add the same in the theme/plugin. For more information about this, you can refer to this link –

This response (not the review) convinced me not to consider moving to this theme.

    Hello @lougeezer,

I am sorry if my answer did not match your thoughts and expectations.

I’d like to mention that we follow the 80/20 rule which is followed by WordPress as well. We track if a feature is requested by 80 percent or more users then we consider and add the same to the theme/plugin.

Having said that, we are always open to feedback and would love to hear your thoughts and suggestions too. Please feel free to send us your suggestions through our website so I can take them to our developers for future consideration. ??
