At checkout points not being removed from account

HI All

Have started using points and rewards but although points are being added OK. When customers are using their points they are being taken off item price but in box showing points redeemed this shows 0 and no points are being deducted from their account.

Any suggestions gratefully recieved, I am not web designer just shop owner.
