• I’m only half way through building a site in Tempera, and it does have it’s oddities and drawbacks here and there, as you work through it. (e.g. finding the admin location to add/alter text for the presentation page!)

    Nevertheless, it’s evident that this is what I would call a ‘real world’ theme, perhaps a bit more traditional in looks and layout than the endless ranks of superficially glossy big-photo-tiny-menu-parallax-nonsense-clone-lookalike themes….of which I am utterly sick and tired, and which are largely very poor web experiences. This theme serves up functionality not art for art’s sake.

    If you want to build a site where getting information across to your viewers is more important than glossy looks, but still have it look good and be modern and responsive with lots of options before you even add any plugins, Tempera is your friend.
