• I actually sent this as an email to the Pixelgrade team after some support help, as we were discussing their motivation for all the work they do. I was going to write a separate review, but it makes just as much sense to post my note instead. Hope it helps if you’re considering this particular theme, or another from this company:

“I searched for months for a theme that would work for my site. I had a structure and a vision in mind…multiple departments…portal-like home page…minimalist design…prominent images…lots of white space…unconventional appearance…

I downloaded countless things, installed them, played around with them, started writing and gathering content, set it all aside for awhile, knew it wasn’t right and went back to the drawing board. This cycle has been happening for longer than I can remember.

On its most recent iteration, I changed some of my search criteria and lo and behold, I stumbled upon Gema. I was floored! It was almost exactly the embodiment of the vision I’d been trying to realize. I installed it, took a first look, and I knew- the search was over. This was the aesthetic that could properly represent my endeavor. Beautiful

(Side Note: In my research about the coding issue you helped me with, I found an article the designer wrote on Medium following the process of creating it. Insightful!)

All that to say THANK YOU to you and your team for the amazing work you do. It’s a gift I truly and personally appreciate, especially during this tumultuous time.

Your theme brought my site new life and your help brought my week new hope. Best wishes to you all; keep up the excellent work.”
