  • I usually look for the images folder and look for the image used as the header. I edit it in photoshop (usually by replacing it with a picture of the same size) then upload it to replace the one in the server. Since it has the same file name, when wordpress calls the header, it loads the header that you edited. God bless!

Okay cool, so when you say image folder do you mean in my wordpress site or the server folders?

    Thanks for your help!

that is the folder with the images:
    https://www.healthfoodlover.com/hfl/wp-content/themes/atahualpa/images/header/IMG_1479.jpg

as far as i remember, atahualpa comes with three images in this folder and randomly shows one as header.

if you ftp upload your image (1300 * 160 px) into this folder and delete the other images, you should be ok.
the image name does not matter.

the height and width will depend on how wide you define your page and how tall you define your header image, both options in the theme

    Hi all,

Another beginner here. In the Atahualpa Options, its says that all header images are found in /blog/wp-content/themes/atahualpa/images/header/. Please excuse my ignorance, but where is this folder in the first place? I have searched in my computer, but the only theme files I can find are for the default Kubrick standard one, even though I have downloaded and installed Atahualpa.

I was afraid to FTP any files into the link listed above in case I ended up doing something to healthfoodlover’s blog.

    Thanks!

    Hi there,

I have chosen the Atahualpa theme and am overall happy, but now am finding that I am unable to delete the 3 header options that Atahualpa provides so that I can upload my own header image. I have been able to use Filezilla to upload an image into the wp-content/themes/atahualpa/images/header/ file but when I try to highlight and throw the others in the trash I get this message: Sorry, the operation could not be completed because an unexpected error occurred. (Error code -61)

I have tried this repeated time and am getting the same message. Is there another way to delete these images so that I could use my own?

    Thank you.

You may be having issues if there are no images in the folder. I believe that will give you an error, as it did for me.
Have only the image(s) you want to display as the banner in the folder, and remove the rest.
