  • Hi,

I installed Athena and checked that it don’t have any page template option to choose from.

You mean, you created custom page templates of your own and it didn’t shown?

Thank you for the response! My dillema is that I have the site up and running -hospitalsafetyreviews.com – and I want to set up a page from which I can make seperate blog entries. I assumed that I could >create a page > and make it a blog page… But there is no menu option for “Template” when I create a page.

I am probably missing somethhing very fundamental here…

    Again, thanks very much.

    Hi Daniel,

    No problem. ??

Just create a page named blog or anything, then go to Settings -> Readings -> Front page displays -> change that to ” A static page (select below) ” after that choose a page for Front page and Posts page. Like this, https://take.ms/YzHeY

Front page is for the front page, that page content will display on the home page, Posts page is for the blog page, the blog posts will display in that page.

For more refer the codex: https://codex.www.ads-software.com/Settings_Reading_Screen

I have scrolling recent posts of a certain type on my site, which is critical. Will new blog posts that I make on a seperate page show up there? (I don’t want that to happen)

    Hi,

What do you mean by this? “I have scrolling recent posts of a certain type on my site,” The new blog page will display all the posts from the “Posts” menu where you write the posts.

    Regards,

    Hey,

I have the same issue: There are no template drop-down options for page attributes. This is a fresh out of the box load of the Athena theme and I will be soon loading a child theme on top of it to make more modifications.

    Any help is great.

    Hi,

Because there ain’t any page templates for this theme, if you want any you can create that in your child theme, https://developer.www.ads-software.com/themes/template-files-section/page-template-files/page-templates/

PS: Actually what page template you’re looking for?

    Regards,

Aye – no problem. I was only referring to the theme demo which explained that templates were available. I was looking for the gallery template since I am making a fashion lookbook website.

I will provide you with the link in a PM when I finish in the next coming days.

    Hi,

I think it is for the pro version. You can confirm this with the author.

    Regards,
