Attach media upload to existing posts?

    I have tried via the shortcode parameters to get the uploads to attach to an existing $pid, but they always generate a new post with new post_id…..I am using the parameters title=”xxx”, post_id=”‘.$pid.'”, and form_layout=”media”

    Please advise

    This is embedded in a template file via do_shortcode:
    echo do_shortcode(‘[fu-upload-form form_layout=”media” post_id=”‘.$pid.'” title=”Upload Documents”]’);
