Attached images issue (product categories)

    Hello,

    I use unique images for my product categories (not assigned to any other content). They are not attached to them, when looking at the media library. Anyway, they are in fact the main image of categories and well displayed on the website.

    This is an issue for cleaning media later, using the “non assigned” images filter. How to fix this?

    Hi there,

    As far as I’m aware, this is a WordPress quirk rather than a WooCommerce quirk in the sense that images can only be assigned to custom-post-types like blog posts or products. Adding an “assigned to” paramater to images for categorization (whether that’s for products or blog posts) would likely need additional custom coding.

    As another workaround, one option could also be in the naming of your image so that it’s easier to find in the media libary (e.g. category-x-featured-image.jpg).
