Attaching an id to submit button.

I’m trying to add an id to my submit button because I need to be able to target it with Google Tag Manager. Using the following code for my submit button in the form box:
<p>[submit id:extract “Send”]</p>
Results in no id being attached to my send button. Where am I going wrong?
