• I’m trying to create a simple gallery using Fancybox plugin + the [Gallery] shortcode, so far, so good.

Images need to be uploaded, then attached to a page in order for this to work.

Am I missing something in the upload-attach-process? You can only attach an image to a page after upload, and then, once attached, I can’t change or re-attach the image?

Or is there no option to attach an image (file) from the page-edit screen?

This seems rather silly tbh… :S

  • After you click the “Add an Image” button, there are three tabs at the top of the media uploader: From Computer, From URL, and Media Library. Choose “Media Library” to add an image that you have already uploaded.

Thanks, I know, but that is about ‘adding’ an image to a page or post, as opposed to ‘attaching’ it.
If you look in the Media overview table, it says ‘File’, ‘Author’ and ‘Attached to’, what I mean is about the attaching.

Ahh, which fancy box plugin are you using? It looks to me like you add the Gallery, and link the thumbnails to the file, rather than attachment page. At least that is how I have done it with other lightbox plugins.
