Attaching Pics when social sharing blogs

  • Hi, I am using Vantage premium. When I share a blog from my site to LinkedIn or Google+, the blog gets posted without a picture even if a picture is associated with the blog post on the website. Without pics, social sharing gets fewer impressions/ hits. How can I fix it?

    Hopefully you were able to resolve. If not, please, try the following plugin and see if it helps: https://www.ads-software.com/plugins/wp-facebook-open-graph-protocol/.

    (I don’t think this is necessarily a Vantage issue. Switching to a default theme would reveal that. We’ve come across this before. Usually a plugin like the one I recommended resolves the issue.)

    Thanks for the response. I used a different plug in than the one suggested above – and it is working now. There is still a time lag with image display on LinkedIn (takes about 1-2 days) but I believe it is an issue with LinkedIn’s web crawler.

    Glad to hear you’ve made some progress on this. Yes, that does sound like a delay in the image being fetched.
