Attachment sent Based on Drop Down selection

  • Hi,

    I have form, with a Drop Down Menu, where I want to send an autoresponder mail where the attachment in the autoresponder mail is based on the selection made by the user in the drop down.

    In other words if a user selects item1 in the drop down the pdf for item1 should be attached in the autoresponder mail sent to them. I have 7 different items.

    Any help with this would be greatly appreciated. If there’s another plugin that has this capability, I would look into that as well.

    I would not send this as an attachment but as link. I’ve done something similar. If you havent solved yet I’ll be glad to assist you.

    Hi Rafael. Are you using contact form 7? What is your method?

    I’ve done this with some PHP, I have the code already written, in the begining I’ve written this to send an download url based on the country but at the end the logic is the same, only the conditions will change if necessary.

    I have a php site where what I want to achieve works perfectly. But, my problem is getting that feature into wordpress. I’m playing around with a plugin called Email Before Download. According to the authors I should be able to achieve something very similar.

    Well you can achieve that with some code into your functions.php file and Contact form 7. Do you have any link so I can check? Did you test the link I gave to you?

    The idea is that we can adapt what I got to what you have.

    Hi Rafael, I tested the link yes, but it only went to a blank page after submission. There was also no place to choose an option for what I want to download. I also got no return mails. Was I supposed to? I have however set up the wordpress plugin Email-before-Download and i’m achieving the results I was looking for. I just need to fine tune the CSS to fit in with my look. Thank you for the comments and all your effort.
