attachment-sitemap.xml appears twice

    In case this helps anyone…

    If you have set Media to appear in search index (before installing the Purge plugin), then when you activate the Purge plugin, your sitemap.xml will include two references to attachment-sitemap.xml.

    I fixed it by deactivating the Purge plugin, then setting Media to No, and reactivating the Purge plugin. Now I have only one attachment-sitemap.xml.

    I’m sure I didn’t want Media included in my sitemap originally, and the fact that it was enabled is probably a result of the original Yoast SEO bug. I was pretty badly crushed by this bug, since the original bug caused my indexed page count to quadruple, with 75% being worthless thin content.
