attachment URL issue

    Morning chaps, any help on this would be super appreciated. I’m trying to rank this page for a friend: https://bardouly.com/yoga-wellness/yoga-retreat-france/, yesterday it was ranking fine on page 1 and I have several new links about to drop to push it up further.

    However, I’ve checked on Google this morning and now I’m getting this page instead: https://bardouly.com/wp-content/uploads/2020/04/yoga.jpg.

    What is the quickest way to ensure the correct page is showing and not this attachment URL?

    I’ve read about the Yoast purge plugin, does anyone know how fast this works to remove the attachment URLs? Has this worked for peeps?

    Any advice on how best to resolve it in short term, for example, does it make sense to sumbit URL to Google Search Console and ask them to hide it?

    Did you resolve the issue? We ask as the page is loading here: https://bardouly.com/yoga-wellness/yoga-retreat-france/. See image https://pasteboard.co/J6XIYPc.png.

    We can also see it appearing in Google here.

    Though, we can see attachment pages in Google. If you want to remove attachment pages in Google please do the following:

    A. Go to SEO-Search Appearance-Media and select YES.

    B. Install the purge plugin:?https://www.ads-software.com/plugins/yoast-seo-search-index-purge/?from your Plugins menu by searching for it. This will make all those attachment pages be a 410.

    This error will tell Google to deindex those attachment pages and remove them from Google. You may see an increase in errors in your Google Search Console but it is expected with the purge plugin.
