• For some reason I can’t get any attachments working; nothing gets uploaded to the attachment folder, and only the message is sent via email w/out the attachment. It does show “File is attached: image.jpg”, but nothing is actually attached?

I have tried allowing .txt and uploading a small .txt file with the same result. In other areas of my WordPress install I’m able to upload images fine. I have installed the Contact Form to DB plugin, and it does capture the image to the db, which is a handy failsafe, however, I’d like to have the attachments emailed/uploaded the usual way as my first choice.

Attachment form is here if needed.

    Any ideas?

    thanks

  • Hello,

Great plug in you have. I have one issue. I would like to receive bigger file that 1mb, but this is the maximum size by default. Is there a way to increase it?

I am having the same problem as AppleBag, except mine says “no file attached”. I’ve reset permissions on all folders, and tried again – still doesn’t attach the file.

This weekend I will test for no attachment issue. If there is a coding error, I will fix it then.

Look on this page for help on attachment limits

I cannot duplicate the problem. My test form sends the attachment in the email just fine.

wow – you are correct! I changed the theme and it works perfectly. Thanks!

Theme change didn’t work for me unfortunately. In Gmail it just shows as an unclickable text:

    Screenshot

with no attachment anywhere to be found within the email. I also tested sending myself an email to the same domain email address I used, from my gmail account, thinking maybe it had some issue with Gmail’s handling of the pop3 checking, but it worked fine. The attachment showed in the email as this:

    Screenshot

Is there any way I could set you up with a login to my site for you to test it yourself?

Also, I was wondering if it would be possible to add in a “is_plugin_active()” check for the Contact Form to DB plugin, and make the filename in the “File is attached” text (in the email) link directly to the image if the plugin is active. This way even if the attachment bombs I can just click the link to go straight to the image and do a Save As, rather than logging into the site, navigating to the plugin, finding the right table, clicking the image, then doing the Save As? It would save me TONS of time.

    Hi Mike!
You were totally right on the theme being the problem- but in addition to the upload feature not working, it also looks horrible.

Another thing is, when I use a “different” theme, after I hit submit, it sends me to a redirect that’s very nice (something like “your form has been submitted”). In the theme I’m using, it just shows a bunch of green checkmarks.

I’ve contacted the theme company, they say it’ll be a bunch of customizations that will cost $$. ok -So then I sent a request for an estimate for these “customizations” (which I’ve now sent 3 times) and they don’t get back to me.

I’ve tried to find the developer to see if they can fix the problem and I can’t seem to find any contact information for them.

I’ve even asked Network Solutions (since that’s where the client has this website) if they can customize it (they can’t – they don’t have the capability to do complex customizations they said).

I’m at my wits end and don’t know where to turn. We’ve got to get this thing up and running.

Do you have any more thoughts on how to get this thing fixed? Do you by any chance do these kinds of fixes?? If so, let me know please.

Here is the page I’m trying to get to work with the form on it

I do not have time to do any custom work,
Ken Carlson is usually available. He was a co-programmer for this plugin.
