Attempting to add image next to link…need help!

A search brought this up at the top:

Scroll down, it discusses adding images to links (like favicon-size images). Could be a start ;’)

Yea, I tried what it said already, and the result was having the image in place of the text. Thanks for the reply though.

Here is how you set up an image with a link any time.

The important part is

the <2 part before and the

I do not know if the HTML codes show up HERE. Sometimes they don’t.

I will try it differently. do you know how to to the href thing? you do that just before the image link using both an opening < and a closing in the a href part > and use < / a >
closing a at the end of the image link.

i’m trying to change colors and pictures and stuff on my template, i’m in the style.css

and at the bottom it says
“If this file were writable you could edit it”
does that mean i can’t edit at all.

any suggestions on how i can, or a different 3 colum template that’s easier to edit. i’m very new.
