Hi, I’m using fast secure contact form perfectly, but there’s a little problem. When I use the attribute readonly=”readonly” works perfectly with logged-in users by filling name and email fields, but non-logged users can’t edit name and email fields, so I had to disable readonly=”readonly” but logged-in users can now edit it. There’s a way to make only logged-in users can not edit these fields and non-logged can?

    Thanks in advance!

  • Hi kronoswolf I don’t understand the following. Can you explain it further.

There’s a way to make only logged-in users can not edit these fields and non-logged can?

    Thank you

    Sorry the late response…

If I enable readonly=”readonly” and auto form fill, the fields displays name and e-mail of the logged in user and he can’t edit it. But users not logged can’t fill the fields and it stays blank.

Hi as far as I know the readonly attribute only allows you to read the field you can’t edit the field.

Okay, but there is a way to allow only visitors can edit? Or suggest to the author of the plugin that adds this feature in a future update?

I have submitted a message to Mike Challis the plugin author.

    Thank you

Ok, thanks for the attention and it’s an amazing plugin!

I will consider this option for the next update, thanks

Thanks Mike, for the attention and the great plugin! I’ll wait for updates.

This code has been added for the next update. It will automatically make the name and email form fields readonly when the feature is enabled to auto fill the logged on user’s name and email. Non-logged in users can still edit those fields to enter their own name and email. Note: administrator is ignored, has to fill in the fields those always.

The update is available now 4.0.37
