    After updating to WooCommerce 8.6.0, all product attributes and variations have disappeared, both on the frontend and backend of the website. However, the WooCommerce status reports still show 2357 variations:

  • @erwin99 There are some known issues with the release of 8.6.0. We have published them here and are working on a fix release. We have listed the available workarounds for those who are experiencing problems. Please take a look and let me know if this has fixed your problem.

    Thank you for your reply. I can’t find a workaround for my problem, i was waiting for the update 8.6.1, but unfortunatly my attr. and variations are still gone.

    I’m sorry to hear about the difficulties you’re experiencing with attributes and variations after the 8.6.1 update. I understand how frustrating this can be.

    Before we can proceed with further troubleshooting, can you please go to?WooCommerce > Status > Tools, and?regenerate the product attributes lookup table? Once that’s done,?clear transients.

    It is unusual that this is happening to you, as most of the users were able to resolve similar issues with updating to the latest version 8.6.1.

    Just curious, could you help perform a conflict test on a staging site to see if there is a possible conflict between your plugins and/or theme? You may find detailed steps here: https://woo.com/document/how-to-test-for-conflicts/.

    I did the conflict test, there are no changes. I just noticed that there are products without attributes and products with 2 attributes, that’s weird because they have lots more. Also as you can see in the firtst attachments, the attributes are empty.

    Hello @erwin99,

    Since you’ve already run a conflict test and haven’t noticed any changes, were you able to switch to a default theme like Storefront to test on the same? I’d recommend doing this on a staging site to avoid losing any of your content, also be sure to create a backup of your site.

    If that does not help, please try rolling back to the previous WooCommerce versions using this rollback plugin and let us know if you are able to see the attributes.

    This is certainly a strange problem.
    The SSR shows there are 2357 product variations and none of them are visible.

    To diagnose further let’s verify if the product variations exist in the database. To do that, could you please export the products into a CSV file?
    Here are the steps:
    – Go to All Products
    – Click on the Export button at the top
    – Then on the next page, click the Generate CSV button.

    Once the CSV is exported, open it and check for variable products.
    Here is an example highlighted in Orange and Yellow colors.

    Please let me know about your findings.

    Hi Zubair,

    See screenshots below. It’s really strange, like i said before there are a handfull of products who still shows attributes. But it’s completly empty in the back-end. However most of the products doesn’t show the attributes.

    Thank you for your reply and for sharing screenshot.

    I noticed that your exported CSV file is a bit different than mine.
    The language is different, which is fine but the column structure is also different. By default, there should be an ID, Type, SKU, Name, and so on.

    Is this the full screenshot of the CSV file right at the beginning?
    Could you highlight the ID, Type, SKU, and Name columns, please?
    Also, highlight the Variable and Variation words.

    I think we are making progress and getting closer to finding a solution.

    Hi Zubair,

    Sorry for the late reply.

    I’ve changed the language to English so you can unterstand ;). See screenshots from selected rows. I’ve you need something else please let me know. It’s kinda anoying visitors can’t ‘add to cart’ because they need to select a variation.

    Thank you for reaching back, with further details on this. I’ll loop back to the issue reported here, for a moment:

    After updating to WooCommerce 8.6.0, all product attributes and variations have disappeared, both on the frontend and backend of the website.

    I went ahead with visiting the site at https://kranen-shop.nl, and it appears that product variations appear on the site’s front-end, as expected, currently.

    Below, I am attaching a couple of screenshots, for reference.

    I know, somehow there are a handfull of products who still shows the variations/and part of the attributes. There are still a lot of attributes missing like; Length, Width, Height, Brand, Serie, Color, Warranty etc. etc.

    Thank you for your reply and for providing more details.

    The reason I asked for the CSV screenshots was to confirm if the variations existing the database or not. Confirming this will pinpoint the cause of the issue.

    I checked the CSV screenshots but could not find the affected products you mentioned (7066 Fay XS Links and Bubbelbaden 5 jaar garantie).

    Could you please check the CSV and verify whether there are variations to show? You should see Variable product followed by Variation.
