Attributes not showing, can only use single.php template

Hi, I’ve made a custom post type named ‘area’ and also enabled the attributes in de settings of this custom post type. Whatever I try, I can only display the pages with the normal single post template from my Zeeflow theme (so with the post meta etc). I’ve also tried it with a custom template single-area.php but that shows in the attributes of the normal pages.
