Attributes with wild characters not able to apply

  • i was able to create attributes like

    S/N ratio
    Auto Back light compensation (ABC)
    etc…

    but is unable to apply the same to my products
    when i select the same in the attributes drop down and click add nothing happens

    works fine with all other attributes

    i primarily use attributes for comparison

    Update
    think i found out what the problem is
    created 3 new attributes
    1. Name: contains wild character , slug:contains wild character
    2. Name: not contains wild character , slug:contains wild character
    3. Name: contains wild character , slug:not contains wild character
    4. Name: not contains wild character , slug: not contains wild character

    3,4 works

    so concluding that slug with wild character does not work
    dont know how to fix

    iam not a coder really
