Attributes without merging

    Hi,
    I have Attributes successfully setup with 3 variations all variations are available on ALL products. I now want to setup another attribute called ‘Colour Scheme’ which i ONLY want to appear in the Woocommerce sidebar as a filter I’ve done this via the Widget without problem but when i create the attribute variations it merges them with the my other attribute thus multiplying the number of variations in a non-sensical manner (in the context of what I’m doing).

    How can i use the Colour Scheme attributes without merging them with other attributes??
    WordPress warns of this before you click ‘create’ so you can kind of guess what its going to do; how do you avoid this and just create separate attributes which aren’t applied to every previous attribute
