Audio MP3 file won't play; need help

  • I got this response from a member, stvwlf, which I’m very grateful and followed the instructions:

    Haven’t used it yet but it looked good. you might want to try disabling the jPlayer and activating this one and see if it helps. It looks like the instructions are more detailed.
    If the plugin I suggested doesn’t solve your problem you really are better off making a new post – more people will see it.”

    Thanks stvwf. I went to the link, uploaded the plugin and activated it. I created a new page on my blog and inserted the MP3 file and it still doesn’t work. The plugin instructions also said to: “Use the [video] or [audio] shortcode in your post or page with the options on the front page.” Don’t know what that means and I’m guessing that’s why it still doesn’t work.

    Need more help please.

  • Try adding [audio src="https://mysite.com/mymedia.mp3"] to the content area of a Page or Post where https://mysite.com/mymedia.mp3 is the url of your mp3 file.

    Thanks esmi. I think I implemented your suggestion correctly, but it didn’t work for me.

    Here’s what I’ve done:
    I created a new page on my blog. I uploaded the mp3 file to the media library, then I typed the following and inserted the mp3 file:

    trying to get the interview with terrie to work ?radio interview

    I’m sure I didn’t implement esmi’s suggestion correctly cause it still doesn’t work!

    Any other advice?

    FYI – the “trying to get the interview with terrie to work

      radio interview” is what I typed. The “radio interview” is the link to the mp3 file.
