• Im looking for an audio plugin, that will allow people to stream the song, as well as download. Ive tried many of the flash players and I dont want a player like that.

I want to be able to list songs on the album and then have each song be able to play and download. Without a bulky player.

A good example of what I want to do is here => Airliner

If you look at his album, the songs below have a choice to download, I would like to replace the flac download with a stream option. I just like how this whole thing is setup.

Does anyone know if there a way to do this, without having to build a table to encase the album dloads each time?

    thanks

  • Hey! That’s actually my site!

There’s an easy way to do it, but I’m not sure how many audio players it will work on. It’ll definitely work on Winamp and iTunes though, and it’s easiest to setup using Winamp.

Open Winamp, and on the playlist window, hit the “add URL’ button. Put in the full URL for the mp3 files on your webserver (something like “https://www.yoursite.com/music/song.mp3”). Save a playlist (.m3u) file and upload it to your webserver. Now make a link to that .m3u file. When a visitor clicks on it, they can either open it directly in their media player, which will stream the song, or download the playlist file to their disk, which will stream the song when they open it.

I might have to do that on my site now…

Hey right on, I love your site (and music as well). Ill have to try that winamp trick. I guess I was just looking for something that could put the donwloads together a lil better.

There is this plugin that I found. Taragana’s Del.icio.us mp3 Player Plugin. Its not bd, but it doesnt look like you have control of how it looks and how its setup.

Looks like its best just to build the tables and then place everything in it manually.
