Audio Preview

Hello anyone with answers/suggestions: can someone tell me how to use any of the audio player plugins to preview portions of music for sale on my WP site? Both plugins, WP Audio Player and WP Compact Audio Player say this is an option on each of their respective plugin pages but I have been searching for three hours now about how to accomplish this. Although I appreciate any effort to help I really do not want to throw any more money out there for extensions or premiums in order to do this, so if either of these could be used as stated and someone can let me know how, I would be a very happy camper today. Thanks. Jerri. Addendum: I use Site Origin pagebuilder. Does anyone know how to manipulate the audio widget to do this?
