• Hi everyone,

Is there a way, without a plugin, to see what actions were done on my WP website in a certain date at a certain time?
    Ex:
    A plugin was installed
    or
Some page links were changed causing 404 error

Hired a third party company that messed up my website and they are claiming they did not do it, need to be able to prove they did.

    Thanks

  • You could check the modification times of files via FTP. Then you know when they were last changed. By analysing the access logs, you could then trace this back to an IP that can possibly be assigned to someone. However, this kind of analysis can be very time-consuming.

Or you can compare a backup from before editing with the current status. Here, too, you will only find out what has changed, but not by whom.

I don’t see any other possibility. Especially not retrospectively. You would have had to install a plugin to log the actions beforehand. That doesn’t help afterwards.
