• Kadence Blocks has finally allowed me to not only use but enjoy Gutenberg.

Before this, I always installed the classic editor, but now I can skip that and even page builders entirely.

The plugin has clean code and NO BLOAT! Kadence WP is a well-established company, and the Gutenberg block plugin has steadily grown and improved for over a year.

I liked it so much I ended up picking up their lifetime membership. I can’t wait to see what else is coming with both this plugin and the Kadence theme.

My only gripe and it wasn’t enough to subtract a star, was needing to use custom CSS (I used Microthemer, but plain CSS would do the same) to tweak a few items for mobile. I wanted different padding between mobile and larger screen formats, but it looked like the block I was using didn’t have settings for each. It was a minor gripe, and overall I’m quite pleased.

  • Thanks for the review! Can you tell me what block you were wanting this setting for?

    Hey Ben,

I would love to see a single device switcher on top of every block that switches the device (and all settings below) just like the Row Layout. That would simplify and unify things a lot.

I know the Advanced Heading was one with multiple device switchers where I couldn’t seem to set a different mobile margin without an external tool.

I noticed another little bug when setting a the font-weight to bold on a Button. It worked in the editor, but the font-weight was never saved on the front-end.

I changed it back and forth saving it each way multiple times on multiple buttons. I checked the element from the span in the button and traced up the DOM to the container. Everything had the default weight (400) set from the body.

I hope this little bit of feedback helps. I’m looking forward to playing with the Kadence Theme Pro beta this weekend. Thanks!
