Authentication works with CAS 2 but not CAS 3

I am able to create the user and authenticate subsequently using CAS 2. However, when I set CAS 3, I get CAS Authentication failed !.

Also, there is no Last XML CAS server response.

Is there any diagnostic that I can use? Any testing tools?
