    Hi there,

We are having the authentication issue. It shows on the plugin page that Pardot plugin is only compatible up to WordPress 4.6.1 and we are using the WordPress 4.7. Is this why? If so, when you will be releasing a new plugin version?

    Thanks!

    Hi @evidal,

The plugin is compatible with 4.7, and I’ve gone ahead and updated that on the plugin homepage.

Are you able to authenticate with any other external services? Or else, have you checked with your hosting company to look for issues?

Yes, I can authenticate other plugins. What should I ask the hosting company related to this?

    Thanks!

If you’re sure your credentials are correct, it’s helpful to check with the hosting company to make sure the proper services are enabled to authenticate with an external service. In some non-standard hosting environments, those services aren’t operational (or ports aren’t open, etc.).

What happens when you try to authenticate in the settings area?

Ok. thanks. I will contact them.

“What happens when you try to authenticate in the settings area?”
I got he message: cannot authenticate. please check fields bellow and click save settings again.

I’ve tried clearing the cache and reset all settings but didn’t work either.

I will try other things here and I’ll keep you in the loop.

    Thank you for your help!

I am actually having the same issue. No problem authenticating external plugins.
Creds are good. Any other issues today? We just updated to 4.7, and had no issue installing the plugin or activating it.

Disregard! We got it working. Thanks!

Hey @thebibleproject, What did you do? Did you whitelist the IP?

@evidal, if you have IP Security enabled, you would definitely need to whitelist your server’s IP address.
