Author aliases

    I used this plugin many, many years ago (the premium version) and it worked lovely. But every time I turn off the plugin (the premium one), the author aliases disappear and my admin username is used in their place. It also messes up redirects embedded in the database. So for years I just left it on. Now it’s giving me issues but I don’t want to have to buy the latest version to make it compatible with PHP 7.4. So how old is the version I’m using? I’m using v2.11.1.

    I also noticed on the website’s FAQ section that the premium version needs to be left on in order to keep redirects and author aliases. That means once the license expires, I have to keep renewing it. How do I get around this shakedown without losing hundreds of author aliases and redirects? Any help would be appreciated.
