Author box disappeared?

  • One of my clients is a news site and their author pulldown disappeared. Both on the post editor and on QuickEdit. Anything you know that would cause that?

    1-possible plugin conflict causing issue (maybe a recent update caused change?)

    2-confirm username is set up with proper permissions to change authors of post or page? confirm if the issue is happening for all users and user roles.

    I actually found the solution on another forum. When you hit 10k users, they remove the author box. There is code to restore it.
