Hi, installed the plugin then setup the bio, then uninstalled but I see still got the author box.

And NO it’s not my caching plugin. I am behind Cloudflare.

U SNEAKILY KEPT THESE 2 OPTIONS ON Under “Advanced” tab:

-Keep plugin configuration for future use upon plugin uninstall. (Enabled by default)
Keep plugin data for future use upon plugin uninstall. (Enabled by default)

    Why?
No plugin I have seen has configs like that…. Plus what would you keep plugin data for future use?

How the hell do I remove?

    Hi @webworknow,

Ignorance makes people say dumb things. Being rude has no excuse. However, here is a polite answer you surely don’t deserve.

Those two settings you point out can be found on the plugin settings page. Anyone can find them. They are place there to be found so the user can configure them as they please. So why do you use the term “Sneakily”? Do you even know the meaning of that word? They are meant to do exactly what it is described they do. If you have them enabled, configuration and plugin data are kept. NOT plugin code. Obviously, you didn’t get that point.

And yes, not many plugins provide such options. Most just keep garbage in your database without you even knowing. So who’s doing it wrong? There are many reasons for people to want to keep that data, thus those settings. If you don’t find any use of keeping such data in your database, just disable those options. How do you dare to even complain?

Now, if you still get the author box (are you sure it is OUR author box? Many themes include theirs) in your posts/frontend, then the only reason I can think of is your cache. Just make sure all the caches you might have (not just the one provided by a plugin, but also from your hosting provider, server, CDN…), have been flushed.

And just to make it clear to anyone else who might read and is lacking this knowledge: When you uninstall our plugin, all plugin code files are removed from your server’s filesystem. Plugin data, such configuration and author data, is kept only if you have those two settings enabled. Disable them and any bit added by our plugin will be removed upon uninstall.
