• Since a while, I am experiencing an issue with one of my WP sites where multiple authors are publishing:

    After making some updates to existing blog posts from other authors, from time to time it happens that the original author is changed to me.

    After some testing, I was able to reproduce the behaviour:

    It only happens if from within the posts, I am making changes to one of the included, synchronized ‘patterns’. It does not happen if I only change regular content.

    Any ideas how to prevent this from happening? It’s quite annoying because I have to double-check after making changes, that the author is still intact.

    A similar topic was reported e.g. here.

  • is the issue that the page author changes when you make a change to an existing page with a different author?

    @brothman01 Yes, the issue is:
    1. Author A creates a blog post, including some synchronized ‘patterns’
    2. I log in with my own user B and open this post. I select one of the patterns, click ‘edit original’ and make changes.
    3. After going back to the post and saving my changes, the post author changes from A to B.
